Let’s get honest for a second.
You’ve poured your heart into your podcast. It’s your voice, your ideas, your mission. So why would you open every episode with a jingle that sounds like it came from a stock music bin?
We just finished creating a custom jingle for the upcoming Vegan Rescuer Podcast, and wow. What a joyful experience. It’s playful, warm, and totally aligned with the host’s energy and message. That’s what a good jingle does. It doesn’t just fill time. It sets the tone. It welcomes your audience. It says something about you.
And when you’re building something this personal and meaningful, that first impression really counts.
Here are three things I always tell my clients to consider when they’re thinking about podcast music.
1. Your jingle is your handshake.
When someone clicks “play,” the first 10 seconds matter more than you think. If the music is too loud, too long, too jarring, or just doesn’t match your vibe, listeners might bounce before you even say hello.
Your audience needs to feel like they’re in the right place. Your jingle helps make that happen.
2. Make it sound like you.
Whenever someone comes to us for a jingle, the first thing we do is talk.
“What kind of energy do you want? Do you lean more pop, jazzy, cinematic? Any favorite bands or musical eras that speak to you?”
One client said, “I’m all about late ’80s music. U2 is my favorite band.”
Boom. That gave us direction: vibe, tone, rhythm. And we took it from there. This is how you make a jingle that feels like a true reflection of your brand. Not a placeholder. Not a maybe. You.
3. Familiarity builds trust.
A custom jingle becomes your audio signature. Your listeners will start recognizing those first few seconds as you. It creates a sense of consistency and connection, just like a logo or a signature sign-off.
Think of it like a theme song for your brand. When it’s crafted with care, it sticks. And that means your audience keeps coming back, episode after episode.
How it works
We don’t do cookie-cutter. You’ll get a few musical sketches based on our conversation. Then we collaborate to shape the final version together.
We make sure it fits your voice, your mission, and your audience. Because it’s not just about music. It’s about meaning.
