This is the first thing you have to do to market your creative work?

Tell me if you’ve heard this one. You’re amazing about talking up other people, their work, art, and everything. You’re outgoing and thrilled to lift others up. But when it comes to your own stuff, you shut down like a dead computer. You find it hard to share the work you’ve done. And not only is it getting you down, it’s making it hard to earn any money from your creativity. So, you work the day job and create around it, but what you secretly wish for is the day you can make bank with your creative work.

There’s a first step, but it can be arduous. If you’re a creator and want other people to know about your work, you’ll have to talk about it. But first, you have to be in love with what you’ve done. Are you?

What’s keeping you from being in love with what you’ve created? Artists struggle with that every day. But so do people who don’t consider themselves artists. You know, I think we’re all creatives in one way or another. We need to get our heads right about what our imagination brings us.

This week’s Creative Solutions podcast episode takes you through the steps. There’s a great worksheet too. I recommend you download and work through it. I think it will help.
